Strategizing
I believe that having a mindset for how a course will progress over any given semester is a great starting point in understanding what material will actually be covered. Down below I have a supplied list of examples of how I would demonstrate a course surrounding religious involvement and discussion around the world. Each file is a representation of content that is molded to relate to North Carolina's state Social Studies Standards. While the documents are not to be followed exactly, they are beneficial towards the overall accomplishment of helping students understand what is crucial to know about the subject.

Knowing how and what will be included with any specific semester is the very beginning of understanding any course. This map will include the units covered and the questions discussed. Click the interactive box to find out more and see the actual document!
This map is built for explaining and specifying some of the actual lessons that I will be presenting to my students along with one of the main assessments that will be taking place during the allotted timespan of the entire unit.
This section covers the most ground. With the three interactive buttons underneath 'Lesson Plans', you are able to preview three specific arrangements that I have created within one semester. Each includes an essential question, what kinds of vocabulary will be introduced, and how the discussions will be spaced out within each day that the lesson is being utilized.
Here is where understanding the material becomes important. Whether the assessment is in the form of a question-based test, essay, or in the method of posterboard project, students will be able to engage with the material and present it in their own unique way.
